Abstract:
The payload technology of high-throughput satellite has developed rapidly in recent years. The technical route and program selection of multi-beam antennas are the key focus areas of high-throughput satellite payload design, and the key research issue to satisfy users demands with the most optimal load program. This paper sorts out two key multi-beam antenna technology routes for high-throughput satellites, and proposes efficient design methods for multi-aperture multi-beam antennas and multi-feed multi-beam antennas. Combining the needs of typical users, under typical satellite layout boundary conditions, the two multi-beam antennas were compared and beam performance comparisons were carried out. This has a very important guiding significance for the rapid and accurate selection of antenna technology solutions for subsequent high-throughput communication satellites.
