    Design and implementation of deterministic gating scheduling for satellite dynamic platform

    • Providing realtime and definitive transactions of critical data is a new challenge for a large scale dynamic platform composing of moving nodes to perform the distributive coordination tasks. In this paper, the gated scheduling technology in time sensitive networks (TSN) was studied and adapted, and a dynamic scheduling algorithm suitable for the satellite link was proposed, based on the TSN technology and combined with the characteristics of links on dynamic platforms formed by networked satellites.The time aware shaper (TAS) scheduling algorithm was improved to reduce the transmission delay caused by dynamic changes of communication distance and spatial perturbation, so as to increase the certainty of the satellite communication system on the moving platform.At the same time, according to the periodic variation characteristics of the dynamic satellite links, a periodic gated scheduling mechanism was proposed to ensure the consistent gated scheduling at the same time points in all cycles.Finally, through the field programmable gate array (FPGA) circuit design verification, the results showed that the improved TAS scheme proposed in this paper could be applied to the deterministic scheduling of satellite networks and give full play to the advantages of time-sensitive networks.
