Abstract
Life detection radar has important applications in the field of aerospace. By detecting weak signals such as breathing, heartbeat and body movements, it can realize life monitoring of pilot. In order to solve the problem of weak signal detection of living bodies, a parameter optimization algorithm of variational mode decomposition (VMD) using envelope entropy as the fitness function of particle swarm optimization is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the particle swarm optimization algorithm was used to select the fitness function, and the combination of the number of decomposition layers of the intrinsic mode component and the number of penalty factors in the VMD algorithm was determined. Secondly, the intrinsic mode components of a certain number of layers are selected through spectrum analysis and the radar echo signal is reconstructed, so as to remove the noise and extract the weak signal. Comparison experiments show that the proposed method can extract the life information more accurately than the EMD algorithm, and the simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
