Abstract
Space traveling-wave tube (TWT) amplifier is an important power amplifier in communication, navigation, data transmission and other satellites. TWT power supply is an important part of TWT. In the nearly 50 years of TWT power development and manufacturing history, the TWT power supply has been developing to high efficiency, small size, light weight and high power. In this paper, a new high power and high efficiency space traveling wave tube power supply is proposed, which adopts BUCK+Push-Pull two-level topology structure. And the low-voltage adopts the lossless buffering technology,Which realize soft switching of each switch of the Buck converter; the high-voltage adopts the resonant push-pull topology structure, which realizes the soft switching of the mosfet switch.And the TWT power supply efficiency reaches 94%. The experimental verification is carried out in a 500W prototype, which further improves the volume, weight and efficiency,and laid a solid foundation for the miniaturization and high efficiency of TWT power supply.
