Research on intelligent modeling of ship target

    • With the development of the marine economy and the demands of national defense modernization, the speed and quality requirements for ship design and construction are becoming increasingly higher. Traditional ship modeling methods are time-consuming and heavily reliant on human expertise, making it difficult to meet the current demands for speed and precision in modern ship design. With advancements in computer graphics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence technologies, exploring how to utilize these advanced technologies to improve the efficiency and accuracy of ship modeling has become a significant research topic. This study, through the integration and innovation of existing technologies, proposes a new ship modeling solution. This solution encompasses key technical steps such as extrinsic calibration, coarse alignment, and ICP registration, along with the introduction of advanced automatic meshing technology for three-dimensional models. Experimental results show that this approach can significantly enhance the speed of ship modeling, improving efficiency by 50% compared to traditional methods. Additionally, this study demonstrates the potential of artificial intelligence in handling complex 3D datasets, further proving its application value in ship design.
