A brief introduction to the application of visio in satellite transponder design

    • In the face of increasingly complex high-throughput satellites, if we continue to use traditional CAD and other graphics software to carry out principle design for the transponder subsystem that accounts for more than 2/3 of the payload, there will be information stacking in the two-dimensional plane, which cannot effectively carry out link channel analysis, link balancing, configuration summary, and other work, resulting in a decrease in iteration speed. Manual iteration is also prone to data errors. Therefore, this traditional method cannot meet the requirements of high-throughput satellite payload design for period and quality. Based on the current situation and object-oriented thinking, the creation of a single-machine model of the transponder load is achieved by constructing Visio objects, and assigning relevant attributes to each load single-machine model. These model single-machine models include not only all the single-machine equipment of the transponder subsystem, but also cable/waveguide components, loads, etc. By establishing object attributes and extracting relevant attributes of the object according to different requirements, corresponding analysis can be conducted to guide the rapid progress of the satellite transponder system project.
