    Review of spaceborne microwave remote sensing technology

    • Throughout the development process of spaceborne microwave remote sensing technology, whether it is for man-made target detection or radar technology for natural environment detection, the development trend has changed from traditional single technology breakthrough to system concept and system innovation. The emerging new requirements and new applications continue to promote the vigorous development of new systems, new models and other technologies of microwave remote sensing payloads. This article reviews the development of spaceborne microwave remote sensing technology over the past decade, summarizes payload system technologies oriented towards various application directions, and particularly analyzes high-resolution SAR Earth observation, spaceborne distributed detection radar, microwave scattering measurement, microwave radiation measurement, as well as multiple corresponding key technologies and solutions. It showcases landmark achievements and their applications. On this basis, the article analyzes the technological development trends of future spaceborne microwave remote sensing payloads.
