A circular scanning imaging-mode designbased on the spaceborne synthetic aperture radar

  • This paper introduces a space borne SAR system by using circular scanning imaging mode to satisfy the urgent requirement of wide observation,the main purpose is to solve the problem of the target-search in maritime wide area.The geometric model and basic principle of the circular scanning SAR-imaging is established and the optimal coverage design is analyzed. The relationship of the spatial resolution and image width is studied and the simulation result also proves the efficiency of the designed circular scanning SAR-imaging. Finally,an in-orbit verification results is given, which indicates that the proposed imaging-mode has a wide application in earth observation.
